Challenge Du Jour- Day 2- Rev Abs

Have you ever tried doing a workout at home and your pet is like WHAT ARE YOU DOING? WHY ARE YOU LAYING ON THE FLOOR? YOU MUST WANT ME TO CLIMB ALL OVER YOU.

Yes. Many a times. 

Ok onto... 

Day 2! Rev Abs!

Whoa, so not what I thought it was going to be. I pressed play, and then when I saw the name ABS, I really thought I was going to be doing abs or sit ups for 30 mins. No! 

The Workout

It was a full body workout. Think 21 Day Fix Dirty 30 mixed with Tae Bo. You do each move for about 40-60 seconds so it was similar to 21 Day Fix in that sense. Then there are some kicks and knee raises that my two left feet got confused on, but I made due and just kept moving when I didn't know what to do. You can still get a good workout even when you're not coordinated like me! Oh, and he makes you do pushups. Here's how I feel about pushups.


The Trainer

I lied yesterday by accident! Not all of the trainers on these programs are the celebrity trainers of the big named programs. I didn't catch this guy's name, but he was good!!!


Is that AC Slater? Maybe! He did weird things like cartwheels in between sets. Don't worry, you don't have to do cartwheels. It was just something he did to move from point A to point B. He was positive and quick moving, and that I liked, but he didn't say all the motivating things Autumn, Chalene, and Shaun T say. They know I want to quit the workouts and they tell me to not turn off the DVD, that working out will make me a better person, that I set a goal and can't give up on it, that what is hard now will soon become easy because I will get stronger. All that stuff. If you need that positive talk, this guy doesn't give it. It is strictly the program! Which isn't a bad thing. If you're naturally motivated to workout, you might not need that self-talk. If you're like me, you build a really weird fake relationship with your TV trainer and think they are specifically talking to you about life.

Is This Program for Me? 

If you like a mix of workouts and specifically want to work on your abs without just doing crunches, this program is for you! If you do not have a ton of time to spend in the gym and just need a quick at home workout, these are only 30-45 minutes- THE LENGTH OF A TV SHOW. The 1 workout I did was part of a 90 day program. 

I just watched the infomercial and am intrigued. The exercises look like a mix of a bunch just like 21 Day Fix. I hate doing the same thing over and over. I can't do ellipticals anymore! I need variety like this. I know Beach Body creates quality long-term programs with amazing trainers, so I might check out the other workouts from this progam next month. They are all on Beach Body on Demand. YESSSSSS.

I subscribe to Beach Body on demand so that I can stream my workouts on my phone, ipad, or computer. I can take them anywhere I go whether it is a gym at work, in my building or a real gym, on vacation, or even just to our balcony. I like it better than doing random programs on TV because following a program from Day 1 to Day 21, 30, or 60 helps me set long-term goal. Once you buy a Beach Body program, they give you streaming access to it, but they also have older programs like this on there for you to to do. All of Insanity and P90x are on there!! It's pretty cheap, and if you are a coach, you get a coach discount.

Ps. I took my dog out to pee right after my workout, and she brought this bone with her then dropped it in the hallway like no big deal. DOGS: Take care of your treats/toys/chew things!!
